EcoSafe products contain a proprietary additive called DCP (degradable compostable plastic), which is added to the plastic in the manufacturing process. The DCP remains dormant in the plastic until degradation is triggered by sufficient exposure to UV light, heat or mechanical stess.

To extend the useful life of EcoSafe products, store them in the original pacakge and away from direct sunlight or excessive heat. Once the degradation process starts it cannot be stopped. Total fragmentation of EcoSafe degradable plastic bags leavses no toxic or harmful residue.

Made with 10-20% post-consumer recycled plastic. There are no PVCs or plasticizers in any NV plastic products. Additionally the cores and boxes are made from recycled paper.
